This week we have been approved for a dedicated space at Park Avenue Baptist Church!
This is my spiritual home and the community with whom I serve, so this is especially exciting for me. I have been an intern at Park Avenue for a year and once I arrived I knew this was a place to plant roots and begin to grow deeper.
I will begin the role of Minister Artist in Residence and the ministry of Art in the Image will be able to grow even more with a space to work. Plus our 1000 square foot house will cease to be hoarded with art supplies and our den will be able to be clean for once!
The creative ministry now to be called “Art in the Image- @ Park Ave” will seek to engage the community of Grant Park, as well as provide support in the form of worship arts, pastoral care and spiritual development to the community of Park Avenue as well.
This space will be open for creative collaboration and we will focus on developing our artistic congregants with more tools and introducing everyone to this accessible practice.
