I painted in a live service for the installation of the new pastor, Rev. Hodari Sadiki Williams at New Life Presbyterian Church. It speaks to the power of creativity to capture the spirit of God that this weekend of events and activities was highlighted with creative expression.
I was energized to create along side of such wonderful artists, musicians and poets! It was truly an inspiration to be a part of this event.

My friend Allison Henderson Brooks invited me to participate and we spoke about this new stage in the life of New Life and we spoke about the power of symbols. New symbols will be evolving in the community of New Life, specifically that of the baobab tree. The baobab grows despite arid environments. It survives and serves to show others where there is water below. They have incredible abilities to grow and heal.
