At Park Avenue the last couple of years we have had special times on Ash Wednesday where pastors were available to impose ashes for our members and anyone who comes by. It was a rather private imposition of ash, done from the office of Park Ave.
This year we decided to be outside as a way to be more visible. I wanted to see where the spirit led and paint while the ashes were being imposed. Doing live painting also brought more people by to talk to us. People are inspired and intrigued by the creative process and I think this must be connected to the divine origin of creativity.
